The Urban Studies and Planning minor emphasizes student understanding of the political, economic, institutional and social context within which planners work with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop and implement plans, policies and programs.

  1. Students must complete elective credit hours in departments other than the major department. The electives chosen must be approved by the urban studies and planning advisor and all appropriate prerequisites must be met.
  2. Offered by management and information systems, geography, mathematical sciences, political science or sociology.

 

Graduation Requirements:

  1. Minimum overall 2.000 GPA.
  2. Students must complete at least two upper-division courses in the minor at Kent State on a graded basis (A-F).
