The Master of Arts in Sport and Recreation Management consists of two concentrations: Sport and Recreation Management and Sport Studies.
Sport and Recreation Management provides students with the knowledge, skills and experiences to enable them to become successful professionals in the field of sport and recreation management. The program's core gives students a knowledge base in management theory and application in both sport and recreation settings.
Sport Studies focuses on the pedagogical, historical and sociological aspects of physical activity and sport.
Admission Requirements
Official transcript(s), goal statement and two letters of recommendation. Admission into the Sport Studies and Sport and Recreation Management concentrations also requires GRE, MAT, GMAT or approved equivalent standardized test if GPA is less than 2.75.
Graduation Requirements
Students are required to complete 33-34 graduate credit hours for the M.A. Degree. A plan of study is developed with each students advisor. A signed copy is filed in the college graduate office.
