Allied Health Management Technology - A.T.S.
DESCRIPTION: | The Associate of Technical Study in Allied Health Management is for students who have completed a state-certified allied health program and hold an accredited certificate. This flexible program enables students with an allied health certificate and health care experience to develop the skills necessary to upward mobility. Graduates are prepared to work in variety of health care settings as administrative and supervisory personnel. The Trumbull Campus offers an associate of technical studies degree completion program for students who have completed a state-certified allied health program and hold an accredited certificate. |
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: |
Medical and health services managers held about 262,000 jobs in 2006. About 37 percent worked in hospitals, and another 22 percent worked in offices of physicians or in nursing and residential care facilities. Most of the remainder worked in home health care services, Federal Government health care facilities, outpatient care centers, insurance carriers, and community care facilities for the elderly. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: |
Students interested in this program should apply to the Trumbull Campus and must meet with an advisor to be admitted to the program. Upon admission to this program, up to 27 credit hours will be held in escrow on the basis of student’s accredited certification. These credit hours will be awarded upon successful completion of at least 39 additional credit hours of courses selected in accordance with the following curriculum. |
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: |
Minimum 66 credit hours. Minimum 2.0 cumulative and major GPA. |
