Accounting Technology - A.A.B.
DESCRIPTION: | The Associate of Applied Business in Accounting Technology provides students with a broad range of practical accounting and communication skills and teamwork experience. These combined skills prepare students for immediate entry into the accounting technology field in numerous environments including manufacturing, retail, service and governmental organizations. Requirements articulate with the Accounting Technology certificate; contact an advisor for more information. The degree is available at the Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Trumbull and Tuscarawas campuses. Most of the courses for this major are available at the Geauga and Salem campuses. |
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: |
Payroll and timekeeping clerks held about 214,000 jobs in 2006. They can be found in every industry, but a growing number work for employment services companies as temporary employees. Many also work for accounting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services firms, which increasingly perform the payroll function as a service to other companies.
