The M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs in neuroscience require a minimum 3.0 undergraduate/graduate GPA, scores from the GRE general test, three letters of recommendation, and a personal statement indicating the applicant's interests in neuroscience and career goals. A master's degree is not required for admission to the Ph.D. program. Before beginning the program, applicants are required to have completed a bachelor's degree with preparation adequate to take coursework in neuroscience, including sufficient undergraduate coursework in chemistry, math, biology, psychology and/or neuroscience. Applicants for the Ph.D. degree are preferred over the M.S. degree, given applications of roughly equivalent merit.
