Description
The Associate of Technical Study in Industrial Trades Technology is a completion program for students who have finished four years of apprenticeship/journeyman training. Apprentices must have completed their training from an organization working in cooperation with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training in the U.S. Department of Labor. Interested students must meet with an advisor to be admitted. Upon admission, students will be granted 30 credit hours toward the program on the basis of their apprenticeship training. In addition, they must successfully complete a minimum 35 hours of course work. Career Opportunities
About 34 percent of all engineering technicians work in manufacturing. Another 25 percent work in professional, scientific, and technical service industries, mostly in engineering or business services companies that do engineering work on contract for government, manufacturing firms or other organizations. Students interested in this program should apply to the Kent State Trumbull Campus and must meet with an advisor to be admitted. Upon admission to this program, students will be granted 30 credit hours on the basis of their apprenticeship training.
