The Urban Studies and Planning minor emphasizes student understanding of the political, economic, institutional and social context within which planners work with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop and implement plans, policies and programs.
In addition to the required core courses, students must complete minimum 6 credit hours in departments other than the major department from among the elective courses listed below. The electives chosen must be approved by the urban studies and planning advisor and all appropriate prerequisites must be met.
