A432 Business Administration Building Description
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems is designed to provide students with a focus on the creation and supervision of the Computerized Information Systems (CIS) that commonly are used in organizations of all types and sizes. There is a primary emphasis on problem solving within systems development, the logic of state-of-the-art programming languages and methodologies, project management and business experience. Examples of CIS include airline reservation systems, bank automated teller systems, trading systems for stock exchanges and accounting/auditing systems. Career Opportunities
Computer systems analysts held about 520,600 jobs in 2012. Employment of computer systems analysts is expected to grow 25% from 2012 to 2022. Computer systems analysts were employed by governments; insurance companies; financial institutions; and business management firms in the computer systems design and related services industry. Many are self-employed. Admission Requirements
General Admission for Freshman Students: Admission Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends. Progression Requirements
Progression in the major: minimum 2.500 cumulative GPA, minimum C (2.000) grade in COMM 15000, ENG 21011, MATH 11010 (or placement out of MATH 11010) and a minimum C (2.000) grade in both MIS 24053 and 24065.
Graduation Requirements
Minimum 120 total credit hours and 39 upper-division hours for graduation. Minimum 2.500 GPA overall and 2.500 GPA in major required for graduation. Program Learning Outcomes
