It is for those who have earned an MLS or MLIS degree. Curriculum focuses on the following areas: foundations of preservation theory and practice in library, archival, and other information environments; creation and maintenance of digital surrogates of analog material; knowledge organization and management for digital repositories, technical infrastructure for digital preservation; curatorial functions, including development of policy and procedure to manage digital objects; and social, economic, policy and professional issues.
