Please read the sections in the University Catalog on Kent Core, diversity, writing-intensive and the experiential learning requirements.

1. UC 10097 is not required of transfer students with 25 credits (excluding College Credit Plus) or students age 21+ at time of admission.
2. A minimum C (2.000) grade must be earned to fulfill the writing-intensive requirement.
3. Students who complete the required in-hospital clinical experience fulfill the experiential learning requirement.

Program Notes:

• Students are expected to consult with a medical technology advisor before registering for courses each semester.
• The fourth year clinical training is NOT guaranteed, but it is required to graduate with this major. Acceptance to clinical training is at the discretion of the clinical affiliates, is highly competitive, and is based on multiple criteria. Typically, clinical affiliates will interview students with a minimum major GPA of 3.000 and hospital experience.
• Students majoring in medical technology are not required to meet the foreign language College General Requirement.
