The Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences–Biological Anthropology prepares graduates to teach both human anatomy and other cognate fields in demand at most medical schools (neuroanatomy, cell biology, physiology) and, thereby, normally face attractive post-graduate training and teaching options. Many graduates also use their training and teaching experience to enter regular anthropology or corporate research positions. Admission Requirements
Official transcript(s); M.A. or M.S. in Anthropology or Biological Sciences; GRE; goal statement; three letters of recommendation; and courses in statistics and computer science. A student with an outstanding academic record may receive a waiver of the master’s degree requirement upon completion of 20 hours of graduate work and be admitted directly to doctoral work.
