With the world’s growing demand for individuals who speak English, the demand for people who can teach the English language has grown rapidly over the past few decades. The Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate immerses students within another culture while at the same time giving them the structure and support that allows them to succeed as a teacher.

Kent State University admission requirements apply, including assessment testing. Students may enroll in the program even if they have prior degrees. Students must declare themselves as a certificate candidate prior to completing half of the courses and must complete a minimum of 15 credits at Kent State.
