The Community College Leadership certificate is for professionals or aspirants for leadership positions in community colleges and those who seek to learn more about comprehensive community colleges and their role in American higher education. The program provides knowledge and skills development in the areas of administration, curriculum, contemporary issues, student development and learning, community college purpose and roles and workforce, economic and community development. This certificate is also offered 100 percent online.

*Students must have completed at least six hours in the certificate program before applying for and internship. Internships must be at community colleges or regional/extended campuses. With advisor approval this requirement can be substituted with one additional elective course. Elective with HIED 6/76492 waiver may include HIED 6/76656 Higher Education Curriculum (3 credit hours). Additional 3 credit hour elective course as approved by certificate advisor.
