In response to the globalized knowledge economy, one of the profound and transformational changes occurring in contemporary colleges and universities is internationalization. This institutional change requires administrative leaders, staff and faculty in higher education to have a comprehensive understanding of this phenomenon, along with well-articulated skills, knowledge and dispositions to improve the instructional capacity for internationalization. To meet this need, the International Higher Education certificate meets this need by helping strengthen teaching, administrative leadership and employability in colleges and university settings.
