The Sustainable Construction Technology certificate addresses the national and international interest and demand for developing "green" solutions and an implementing sustainable systems. Emphasis is placed on green technology to increase the efficiency in a building’s use of resources such as energy, water, and materials, as well as to decrease waste. Sustainable technology uses resources to meet the needs of the present while preserving the environment so these needs can also be met in the future.
