Description

Business Undeclared is a non-degree granting major. The major is designed for new students who enroll or transfer both from within and outside the university who do not know which major in Business they want to pursue. After the completion of 45 semester hours, the student must choose a major.

Students meeting Kent Campus admission requirements, can be admitted directly to accounting, business management, computer information systems, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, managerial marketing and marketing. Undecided student should declare Business Undeclared.
 

Admission Requirements

General Admissions for Freshman Students: Admission Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends.

The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago. General Admissions for Transfer Students: Generally, a transfer applicant who has taken 12 or more semester hours with a college cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale may be admitted. An applicant who has taken fewer than 12 semester hours will be evaluated on both collegiate and high school records. For admission to the accounting, business management, computer information systems, finance, managerial marketing and marketing major a minimum 2.50 GPA is required. Economics and Entrepreneurship require a minimum 2.25 GPA. Students not eligible for admission to Business can seek admission to Exploratory, provided they have earned a minimum 2.00 cumulative transfer GPA.

Business Undeclared is not a degree granting program.
