  1. Students may also elect other courses in the School of Music, with advisor approval. Note that if classes less than 3 credits are chosen, the Musical Literacy category must still meet the 6 credit required minimum.
  2. Each doctoral candidate, upon admission to candidacy, must register for MUS 88199 Dissertation I for a total of 30 hours. It is expected that a doctoral candidate will continuously register for Dissertation I, and thereafter MUS 88299 Dissertation II, each semester, including summer, until all requirements for the degree have been met.
