Description
The Associate of Technical Study in Industrial Trades Technology is a completion program for students who have finished four years of apprenticeship/journeyman training. Apprentices must have completed their training from an organization working in cooperation with the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training in the U.S. Department of Labor. Interested students must meet with an advisor to be admitted. Students will be granted 30 credit hours on the basis of their apprenticeship training Career Opportunities
About 34 percent of all engineering technicians work in manufacturing. Another 25 percent work in professional, scientific, and technical service industries, mostly in engineering or business services companies that do engineering work on contract for government, manufacturing firms or other organizations.
