PreVeterinary Medicine, a pre-professional advising program, provides students an opportunity to prepare for further training in veterinary medicine after completing their undergraduate degree. Students take courses that prepare them for coursework in veterinary medicine school and either the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) or Graduation Record Examination (GRE), depending on the institution. In addition to declaring this program, students must be admitted to a bachelor's degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences. Students who plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in Zoology should not also declare this program. Admissions requirements for veterinary schools can be fulfilled in the BS in Zoology degree.
