The Bachelor of Arts in Art History provides students with a substantive and comprehensive foundation of knowledge and an understanding of the major achievements in the history of art. It fosters visual analytical skills, critical thinking, creative problem-solving and research development and writing competencies, which prepare students for further graduate study as well as lifelong appreciation of and advocacy for the arts. Career Opportunities
Most work in museums, historical sites, and similar venues; in educational institutions and as librarians; or in Federal, State, or local government. A graduate degree and related work experience are required for most positions; museum technicians may enter with a bachelor's degree. Admission Requirements
General Admission Information for Freshman Students: Admission Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends. Minimum 123 total credit hours, minimum 39 upper-division hours. Minimum 2.000 cumulative GPA and a 2.250 GPA in the major. Language Requirements
