The Bachelor of Science in Technology provides students with a breadth of knowledge and experience and gives students the option of using electives to develop depth in a chosen area. This program, best suited for students with general career goals or who want depth of knowledge in a specific technical area such as casting or quality, is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering. Career Opportunities
Students majoring in Technology often find positions in entry-level engineering positions working in areas such as Auto-Cad design, product design and quality assurance. Graduates have found excellent careers in companies such as Elwood Engineered Casting, Soft-lite Window Corporation, Ford and GM. Admission Requirements
General Admissions for Freshman Students: Admission Requirements at the Kent Campus: The freshman admission policy at the Kent Campus is selective. Admission decisions are based upon the following: cumulative grade point average, ACT and/or SAT scores, strength of high school college preparatory curriculum and grade trends. The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago. Minimum 120 total credit hours and 39 upper-division hours for graduation. Minimum 2.000 GPA overall and 2.250 GPA in the Technology major required for graduation. In the the optional Technology Education Licensure concentration, a minimum 2.500 GPA overall and 2.750 GPA is required for graduation.
