The Bachelor of Science in Technology provides students with a breadth of knowledge and experience and gives students the option of using electives to develop depth in a chosen area. This program, best suited for students with general career goals or who want depth of knowledge in a specific technical area such as casting or quality, is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering. Career Opportunities
Students majoring in Technology often find positions in entry-level engineer positions working in areas such as Auto-Cad design, product design and quality assurance. Graduates have found excellent careers in companies such as Elwood Engineered Casting, Soft-lite Window Corporation, Ford and GM.
Admission Requirements
General Admission for Freshman Students: Students most likely to be admitted and succeed at the Kent Campus are those who have graduated with at least 16 units of the recommended college preparatory curriculum in high school, who have achieved a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and whose composite ACT score is 21 or better (980 combined critical reading and math SAT score). Minimum 121 total credit hours and 39 upper-division hours for graduation. Minimum 2.000 GPA overall and 2.250 GPA in major required for graduation. In the Technology major; minimum 2.500 GPA overall and 2.750 GPA in major required for graduation in the optional Technology Education Licensure concentration.
