*The total number of required hours in each student's Plan of Study/Residency Plan will vary based on previous graduate coursework, point of entry into the program, program area advisor input and the Kent State University School Psychology program requirements. The College and Graduate School of Education, Health and Human Services' minimum requirement for a doctoral degree is 60 credit hours beyond the master's degree. Given the requirements of the accreditation bodies governing the KSU School Psychology program, the typical number of required hours for the doctoral degree will exceed that of the minimum college requirements.

Required for students not possessing a current Ohio teaching or school psychologist license.
2 SPSY 77998 Individual Research in School Psychology must be taken for a minimum 2 credit hours and a minimum of two semester.
3 Total of 4 seminars in School Psychology to include Doctoral Residency Seminar in School Psychology and at least 1 Professional Seminar and 1 Research Seminar.
4 Two semesters, 3 credit hours each.
5 Intern Seminar required for student completing a state-funded school-based internship in Ohio, 2 semesters, 3 hours each
6 Required for students completing a state-funded school-based internship in Ohio; 2 credit hours total.
