Business Undeclared
DESCRIPTION: |
Business Undeclared is a non-degree granting major. The major is designed for new students who enroll or transfer both from within and outside the university who do not know which major in Business they want to pursue. After the completion of 45 semester hours, the student must choose a major. Students meeting Kent Campus admission requirements, can be admitted directly to accounting, business management, computer information systems, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, managerial marketing, marketing and operations management. Undecided student should declare Business Undeclared. |
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: |
General Admission Information for Freshman Students: Students most likely to be admitted and succeed at the Kent Campus are those who have graduated with at least 16 units of the recommended college preparatory curriculum in high school, who have achieved a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and whose composite ACT score is 21 or better (980 combined critical reading and math SAT score). General Admission Information for Transfer Students: Generally, a transfer applicant who has taken 12 or more semester hours with a college cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale may be admitted. An applicant who has taken fewer than 12 semester hours will be evaluated on both collegiate and high school records. For admission to the accounting, business management, computer information systems, finance, managerial marketing, marketing and operations management major a minimum 2.50 GPA is required. Economics and Entrepreneurship require a minimum 2.25 GPA. Students not eligible for admission to Business can seek admission to Exploratory, provided they have earned a minimum 2.00 cumulative transfer GPA. |
