Special Note:
This program does not have any electives; all courses listed above are required. Students must have current standard teaching credentials in the State of Ohio to follow the school library media licensure program. Students are responsible for completing licensure paperwork requirements through the Kent State University College of Education near the end of or at the conclusion of their M.L.I.S. program.

Exam administered by the Evaluations Systems Group of Pearson is required for licensure.

Multiple Degrees Option
Students can concurrently pursue the Master of Library and Information Science and the Master of Science in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management or the Master of Business Administration or the Master of Education in K-12 School Library Media Licensure. Each program makes an independent admission decision.
