1 The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine recommends an organic chemistry laboratory, but it is not required. However, organic chemistry laboratory course are required by other veterinary schools.

2 The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine required one semester of writing/composition. Other veterinary schools require two semesters; ENG 21011 College Writing II is recommended. 

3 Additional mathematics courses are recommended, but not required.

4 Students may choose any upper-division BSCI courses to fulfill this requirement. The following courses are recommended:

5 Courses in art, communication studies, economics, history, music, literature, psychology and/or sociology are recommended to meet veterinary school prerequisites.
