PrePharmacy for NEOMED Program Requirements PDFDownload to print

The Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) degree. It has a consortial relationship with four Northeast Ohio public universities: Kent State, Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Akron Universities. Admissions criteria include completion of a two- or three-year prepharmacy program at an accredited university as well as satisfactory scores on the Pharmacy College Admissions Test (PCAT). Students interested in applying to the NEOMED Doctor of Pharmacy degree program can satisfy all prepharmacy requirements by completing the Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a Biochemistry concentration. In this degree program, students either complete four years of study at Kent State, or with careful planning complete three years of study at Kent State and satisfy the remaining requirements of their B.S. degree in chemistry with coursework completed at NEOMED.
