The Kent State University Code of Student Conduct applies to both graduate and undergraduate students. Students are subject to probation, suspension or dismissal for violations of the code.

University policies regarding behavioral conduct, including cheating and plagiarism such as furnishing false or incomplete information to the university with intent to deceive or forge, alter or misuse university documents or other official documents that serve as the basis for admission and graduation may result in the revocation of admission, academic dismissal or revocation of a degree or certificate.

It is the policy of Kent State University that:

  1. Students are to perform their own academic work according to the standards set by faculty members, departments, schools and colleges of the university.
  2. Cheating and plagiarism constitute a fraudulent misrepresentation for which no credit can be given and for which appropriate sanctions are warranted and will be applied.
