The Associate of Applied Science in Plastics Technology provides students with knowledge and skills in both simulated and actual manufacturing environments in the areas of materials, design, computer-controlled equipment and manufacturing processes specific to the plastics industry. The program emphasizes the development of strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills and provides a foundation in chemistry and physics. It also incorporates computer applications in manufacturing processes and product development. Requirements articulate with the Plastics Manufacturing Engineering Technology certificate and the technology 2+2 baccalaureate degree. Contact an advisor for more information.
