GPS

This program prepares candidates for Ohio licensure in Integrated Language Arts (grades 7-12).  The combination of content and methods courses provides a strong foundation for graduates of the program, who will be licensed to teach English/Language Arts, journalism, communication and theater. (Please note that Ohio Integrated Language Arts teachers are only licensed to teach theater at the middle school level.)  The program uniquely features a methods course devoted to the teaching of new media.

Notes:
1. Students enrolling in ADED 32142 must have been admitted to advanced study. This course is a prerequisite for the Special Methods Course I, II and Field Work Practicum.

2. Special Methods Course II and Field Work Practicum are to be taken together the fall prior to student teaching.

3. Students must earn a minimum grade of C (2.00) in all professional and major coursework. A 2.60 GPA in all major coursework is required for admission to advanced study,
    student teaching and graduation.

4. For Praxis II testing requirements and information, contact the Vacca Office of Student Services.
