Community Health Education Major (B.S.)—2009-2010 Roadmap [Degree Requirements]

GPS

The community health education major gives students the necessary tools to plan, implement and evaluate health education programs for individuals, communities and groups. Recognizing the importance of promoting good health and preventing disease, the major features a 12-credit-hour capstone internship experience during which the student works with a health educator in a community setting.

Courses qualify students to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) Exam administered by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
