Pre-Veterinary Medicine Advising Program

The Pre-Veterinary Medicine Pre-Professional Advising Program in the College of Arts and Sciences provides students an opportunity to prepare for further training in veterinary medicine after completing their undergraduate degrees. Students take courses that prepare them for coursework in veterinary medicine school and either the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE), depending on the institution. Students in the advising program must also declare a major in an undergraduate baccalaureate program in the College of Arts and Sciences.

      organic chemistry laboratory course are required by other veterinary schools.

 ** The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine required one semester of writing/composition. Other veterinary schools 
     require two semesters; ENG 21011 College Writing II is recommended.
