Applied Conflict Management Major−2009-2010 Roadmap [Degree Requirements]

The Center for Applied Conflict Management (CACM) offers an undergraduate major that prepares students for careers or graduate study in the field of conflict management and dispute resolution. Kent State has one of the oldest and most highly regarded undergraduate programs in peace and conflict studies in the country.  Areas of concentration include mediation, negotiation, environmental conflict resolution, international conflict resolution, workplace conflict management, nonviolent action and community organizing. Students learn applied skills and make professional contacts through a required internship in the profession.

The major in applied conflict management is offered through the Center for Applied Conflict Management in cooperation with the College of Arts and Sciences. Upon satisfying the college’s general requirements and the major requirements, students receive the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
