Russian Major—2009-2010 Roadmap [Degree Requirements]

The Bachelor of Arts in Russian provides a basis for the development of professional-level proficiency in the Russian language as well as a comprehensive understanding of Russian literature, and culture, including television and film. Students explore the language and culture of the prerevolutionary Russian empire, the Soviet Union and of contemporary post-Soviet Russia.

Students interested in declaring the B.A. in Russian should contact the Department of Modern and Classical Language Studies, where advising is mandatory.

Students interest in teacher licensure must contact the departmental pedagogy coordinator for advising to complete the required education minor.

Under no circumstance may the coursework taken toward the major drop below 30 credit hours.
