Pre-Pharmacy Advising Program

The Pre-Pharmacy Pre-Professional Advising Program in the College of Arts and Sciences provides students with an opportunity to prepare for further training in pharmacy schools or colleges. Students work closely with their faculty pre-pharmacy advisor to ensure they meet the admissions requirements for the pharmacy school or college of their choice.  (Admissions requirements for pharmacy schools and colleges vary greatly). A major in an undergraduate baccalaureate degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences must be declared in order to graduate from Kent State University.

It is imperative that students interested in the Pre-Pharmacy Advising Program meet with the University Pre-Pharmacy advisor immediately upon entering Kent State University. This allows student to most efficiently meet the requirements for admission to a number of pharmacy schools. These schools typically require coursework totaling 60-62 credit hours, which can be completed in two years. However, the coursework may vary based on the requirements of different pharmacy schools.

Note:
There are different requirements for students interested in admission to the Northeast Ohio University College of Pharmacy (NEOUCOP).
