Computer Science Major—2009-2010 Roadmap [Degree Requirements]

GPS

The undergraduate program in computer science offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and a joint B.S./M.S. (Master of Science) degree.  The program nurtures students to become leaders in their chosen fields by integrating theory with programming and using strong student-instructor interaction; faculty supervised team-oriented programming projects; and industrial internships. Graduates get jobs involving the design, programming and administration of computers, computer networks, and software development.

Our students are employed in industries needing computer and information security, system software development, database management and programming, image processing, intelligent systems development, software engineering, parallel and distributed computing, multimedia and human-computer interaction, biomedical information processing, gaming systems, computer graphics and visualization, and web based systems.
