* Specialization areas general music; choral music and instrumental music. Students who elect the general music area must take MUS 63263; students who elect the choral music area must take MUS 63261; students who elect the instrumental music area must take MUS 63262.
** Select from music theory, history, literature, ensemble, conducting projects or applied music.
*** Students who elect the thesis or recital and essay option will take 6 credit hours. Students who elect the coursework option must take 9 credit hours. Student who elect the capstone project option must take 3 or 6 credit hours. Courses to be included in this option must be approved by the student’s advisor. Students planning to continue into a Ph.D. program are encouraged to choose the thesis option.
