DESCRIPTION: | The Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology trains competent speech-language pathologists to critically evaluate communication disorders and the methods used in the habilitation and rehabilitation of those disorders. The Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology is a highly flexible program of study in either speech-language pathology or in audiology. |

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: |
M.A.: The degree requires a minimum of 32 semester hours of graduate coursework including at least 16 semester hours at the 60000 level or above. A major consisting of 18 or more semester hours in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services is required. Ph.D.:Requirements include completion of 45 semester hours of precandidacy graduate work beyond the master’s degree and acceptable performance on a written and oral comprehensive examination. The 45 semester hours of precandidacy study consists of 24 hours in a major area of focus, 15 hours in two minor areas of focus, and 6 semester hours of research tool courses. |
